Roan Steele
"Hi everyone, I am very grateful and privileged to become an ambassador for Multiple System Atrophy Australia. Raising awareness for MSA is something that is deeply personal to me and my family, as my dad passed away in 2016 due to MSA. Seeing firsthand the impact the disease can have on individuals and families has stayed with me to this day. That experience has driven my passion to help others understand the realities of MSA and support the people living with it every day, as well as continuing to tell my family’s story.
As a player with the Collingwood Football Club, I’m very fortunate to have the platform I do, and with that be able to use that platform to create awareness, educate people about MSA, and help shine a light on the incredible work being done to support those affected by the disease. If I can help start conversations, encourage support, and make even a small difference for families going through what mine did, it would mean the world to me. I’m super excited and humbled to work alongside the people at MSAA to continue to care and support for those affected."
